Dogan Perese is the Chief Operating Officer at GEM. In this role, he works across GEM’s business units to oversee the daily operations of the firm. Dogan manages the execution of business plans and provides oversight of all systems, processes, workflows, and procedures. Prior to joining GEM in 2023, Dogan spent 14 years at Bridgewater Associates serving in various roles, including COO of Infrastructure Technology, COO of Client Services and Marketing and, most recently, Co-head of Investment Operations. He began his career as an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Dogan also serves as a board member for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Westport, CT, and is the Co-Chair of the Heida Hermanns Piano Competition. He received a B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
