Laurin Ariail is Senior Counsel at GEM. In this role, she leads review and negotiation of legal documentation for the firm’s investments and supports the Investment team in the legal aspects of its day-to-day operations. Prior to joining GEM in 2021, Laurin was an attorney specializing in fund formation and investment management at Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, and an associate specializing in private funds at Ropes & Gray. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Avondale Children’s Center. Laurin received a B.A. in Political Science from Davidson College, an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She is a member of both the North Carolina and Massachusetts State Bar Associations.
